Re: How to setup and test

Has anyone tried to get it running with Raspbian Buster? I am beating my head against it right now and so far, have nothing but confusion.

Re: Volume too low

Older post so you may have found solution since then, but be aware that the audio available at the headphone jacks is exactly that...for headphones so a higher impedance load is required...16 to 50 ohms or so. The audio at the RCA plug outputs is line level and cannot drive speakers. In either case,...

Re: Getting the audio injector working with Buildroot embedded!

I managed to build a functional image...boots to a command prompt and does some commands...but now I am all dressed up with no place to go...how to find/install applications? I recommend using copy/paste on the commands...memory or finger failures lead to build errors. For anyone contemplating this,...

Setup on Ubuntu-Mate

I have been seriously frustrated by the LMDE desktop screensaver which insists on blanking the display and stopping Audacity in its tracks every 10 minutes or so. I am trying to copy a cassette tape to a .wav file and the tape is 45 minutes on a side. Having to continually keep the screen alive is a...

Re: can't set up stereo soundcard

"audioinjector-setup.sh " is not a command but is the filename of a script. To use it in Linux, you must make it executable and either use sudo to call it or change its permissions. The quick and dirty approach is: sudo ./audioinjector-setup.sh. The "./" tells linux to run the script as a command. S...

Re: Recording with 16kHz sampling rate

The sampling rate is set by the "arecord" command. See https://linux.die.net/man/1/arecord. I don't use "Jack" so no comment on that interaction.

Re: What's the go with the RCA input?

If you can play through the headphone jack, the input is clearly working. Your problem may be with the output jacks which must go to an auxiliary input on a receiver or amplifier or a separate amplifier. You will not be able to drive a speaker from the output of the AudioInjector. The board does not...

Re: Noise

It should be as simple as connecting a multimeter on the ohm setting to the input shield connector and to ground. It should show zero ohms. You can check the output of your guitar amp by simply reversing the leads, L<>R, on the soundcard input connectors, or connecting to an auxiliary input on a ste...

Re: Basic questions about the zero

Hey there, I have very basic questions, as I can't seem to find documentation about specs of the Zero raspberry pi soundcard. - How many input channels are there? - What is the sampling rate of the input channel(s)? - What is the bitrate? - What are the noise floor and dynamic range of the input? -...

Re: Compatibility Question

Reply to old, unanswered post:

1. Probably not...W$ IoT probably does not incorporate the required drivers.
2. Yes, there are several threads on this forum showing the hookup but it does require a soldering pen and solder.
