Re: Recording with 16kHz sampling rate

The simplest way to make 16kHz work is to use plughw:0 like so : arecord -v -D plughw:0 -r 16000 -c 2 -f S32_LE test.wav Another way to do this is to revert the firmware .... This kernel patch to the i2s driver regressed low sample rate functionality : https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/commit/0e8...

Re: Octo on 2018-11-13 raspbian stretch lite not working

Hi there, I am currently remote - with no Octo. I will check this problem later this month and get back to you. In the mean time, you may want to downgrade your kernel (using rpi-update) to a slightly older version since before this problem showed up. rpi-update VERSION Where VERSION is the git comm...

Re: Tutorial 1 - Audio programming with gtkIOStream

I have fixed these problems in the github repo now. Please pulls to get these changes and fixes.
You may have to change the compilation command to this :

Code: Select all

g++ -o SoxInOut SoxInOut.C `pkg-config --cflags --libs gtkIOStream`

Re: The channels change all the time :(

Are you using asynchronous playback/capture ? If you open either play or capture and at a later time open the other, i.e. Half duplex then full duplex operation, you will notice channel swapping. To stop this occurring you need to open the device full duplex - i.e. playback and capture together - wh...

Re: Any hope for multiple I2S hats on Raspberry PI?

Interesting idea !

Which card is going to be I2S bus master.
I would imagine it would be the Audio Injector .... but then you will have to run the other card with a 4x sample rate of the octo !

Re: Octo not showing up on booting

You may find it better to use the modprobe commands to manually reload the card's drivers every boot. Here they are again : sudo modprobe -r snd_soc_audioinjector_octo_soundcard sudo modprobe -r snd_soc_cs42xx8_i2c sudo modprobe -r snd_soc_cs42xx8 sudo modprobe snd_soc_cs42xx8 sudo modprobe snd_soc_...

Re: AudioInjector for Zero low volume from all inputs

Hi there, Is the microphone polarity correct ? The zero requires you to assemble the microphone - right. On page 2 of this thread, you can see how to connect the microphone with the correct polarity - can you please confirm it is correct ? http://forum.audioinjector.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=3084&star...

Re: Headphone level

Hi there,

If you can use the Zero board, then you can connect through a pot. on the IO board. Otherwise, you need to use software.
