Re: I am new, how can I make work octo ?
Arrrgh.... my octo was working well with Ardour but I could not get to use the 8 outputs. So I got the idea to install jackd to "pipe" the output to the other connectors. I shouldn't have done that... now I have no sound and Ardour refuses to start! Here is the first suspicious diagnostic I get dmes...

Re: Testing Octo
OK, so I flashed a new image on a SD card, followed your script and voila... I get sound on 2 of the outputs. I installed Ardour and it sees the 6 inputs as working. However it detects 8 inputs... do you have an idea of what those 2 extra inputs are? Is there a way to test all outputs?

Re: Testing Octo
Installed a new SD car with new OS, followed the instructions... to no avail...grrrrr... so being an ee, I went and looked at the schematics and found the answer... now I get stereo audio output :D Nowhere in the product description does it state how many inputs there are and how many outputs :o . Re: Testing Octo
OK, I really want this Octo board to work. I saw the post using jaaa so i intalled and ran it, hoping to get some idea why this setup isn't working. Well, what I got was - no input, no noise, nothing.... and that with the input dynamic range graph set to 140 dB. So it seems I have some sort of silen...

Re: ODROID C2
I may be interested in giving the octo a spin on the odroids (I have some C1, C1+, C2 as well as Rock64 and Orange PI) as the octo board I have doesn't work on my Raspberry PI.
Where can I get the src code so I can compile and test.

Re: Testing Octo
Thanks for the response. I have indeed used the autoinstaller and everything seems to have worked well... yet I get no sound in or out. I tried all 8 inputs and all 6 outputs. No sound in or out anywhere, the 3.5mm jack, hdmi or your sound board. Just some noise while the PI reboots. What do I do ne...

Re: Testing Octo
I have a similar problem... no sound comming out the rca jacks here is what I have tried up to date. AlsaMixer gui shows the audio injector I/O correctly, so I wonder where to go from here. root@PI-33_Jessie_200:/usr/share/sounds/alsa# aplay Noise.wav Playing WAVE 'Noise.wav' : Signed 16 bit Little ...

Sound card configuration
I purchased the octo board to record from microphones.
The kernel update procedure worked well.
After reboot, the octo was detected, all 6 inputs and all 8 outputs, nice.
However, normal audio input and output (output jack and the HDMI audio) output are missing.
How cab those be brought back?

Re: Hacking linux for your sound card
I just purchased one of your octo cards.
do you have a ready-to-go image for the raspberry pi so I can download and be sure the sd card is optimally configured for your board without having to go through all these steps and not be 100% sure things will work out right?
