Hi,firstly very happy to say I got the board working, and it provides great sound :D
However there were a couple of issues getting going:
I was seeing this initially:

Code: Select all

audioinjector-stereo soc:sound: snd_soc_register_card failed (-517)
..with no success message.

To get it working I had to do:
1. I am using an RPi 3 - I was seeing low voltage warnings on boot-up - clearly not ideal. There are apparently newer 2.5A power supplies for the Pi 3, but I cheated and plugged it into a PC USB power slot, which sorted out this issue.
2. I had to re-seat the board on the Pi 3 - I can't explain why this was necessary as it looks exactly the same, however please give it a try if you have issues such as the above.

Certainly worth persisting!

PS the supplied scripted setup it excellent, thanks @flatmax

I'm having issues with pure data, every time I try to use the breakout I/O (stereo jacks) it always writes random errors and no audio is outputted.
Attempt 1:

Code: Select all

output snd_pcm_delay failed: Unknown error 1044
astate 3
output snd_pcm_delay failed: Unknown error 470
astate 3
Attempt 2:

Code: Select all

output snd_pcm_delay failed: Unknown error 1550
astate 3
output snd_pcm_delay failed: Unknown error 1018
astate 3
output snd_pcm_delay failed: Unknown error 482
astate 3
Attempt 3:

Code: Select all

output snd_pcm_delay failed: Unknown error 400
astate 3
Every time the error code changes and I have searched everywhere to try and find a solution.
Please help as this is for a university dissertation that is due in a couple of weeks

What happens when you don't use the breakout ?

I am having trouble getting this to work. I tried to download the .tar.gz file, but it downloaded file.php instead. I downloaded the file on my windows machine and then emailed it to my raspberry pi, but then I couldn't extract the file. please help

Hello,
I just got my audio card and I am having trouble setting it up. I tried to down load the .deb file from this post but it only down loads something called file.php. I downloaded the file on my window computer and extracted it. I sent the .deb file to my gmail and downloaded it to my raspberry pi. When I try run it, I get an error saying its not in the right format. I am stuck and don't know what to do. Any help would be appreciated.

I've installed the sound card and the .deb files. I cannot seem to get the microphone or speakers to work properly.

I've done both the automatic and manual setup procedures. I've removed and reseated the module several times. However, my board still isn't listed when I issue:
aplay -l

This is from dmesg:

Please include in the instructions that I2S interface must be enabled in raspi-config. That was my problem. Once it was enabled, the card was able to be seen by the kernel.

Can you dumb this down a little for a newbie like me?

How do I install the .deb file? I downloaded it, unzipped it, put in the SD card, but I don't know what to do now.

I have downloaded the latest Rpi update, but after I type in the Audioinjector-setup.sh, it doesn't recognize what to do.

Thanks for any help!
