modify driver to prefer only line inputs?

Got my card last week and love it! am using for streaming stereo to other locations in the house.

I'd really like to set this to auto-start, but am having issues where the preferences won't save, and the line-input options are unchecked.

Is this something I can change in the driver, to make it ONLY have the two input lines, and automatically prefer them?

Every time i reboot, i've got to go to the preferences, choose the line input switch, even though it's been "made default"....

Hi there,

Typically when you set the audio to a state you want to save and restore, you can use the alsactl command.
For example to store the current state :
sudo alsactl store

There are other commands like restore and stuff like that.
