OK,
Now I understand whats happening. The instrument volume is too low !
I recommend using a balanced preamp before the audio injector.
Either this mono version :
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00UIP0IPO
Or this stereo version - NOTE : although this one reads "factory seconds" they are actually non factory seconds versions - we used the wrong bar code :
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016TXSLHK
Hope that helps.

Hey,
Any chance you have link/model name of a device that is available? those device are not available anymore.
Aliexpres preferred.
I am kinda new to plugging in electric guitars to Raspberrypies and can't find anything to work.

Re: RCA input low volume
Hi, I'm doing some tests with and AudioInjector card I received last week, and I have found that the RCA in recording level seems to be too low. The card is rev 1.5.
Doing a loopback test with a 0 dBFS 1 KHz tone I get a recording that is -14 dBFS. Shouldn't it be around -6 dBFS? Both potentiometers are set to max, alsa Mixer master gain is 0 dB and capture dB gain is 0 dB too. Is this right, or is the recording level too low?
Thanks.

Hang on - you made a preamp for the AudioInjector? It says its sold by "Flatmax Studios".flatmax wrote: ↑Sun Apr 09, 2017 12:19 pmhis mono version :

How does it compare to ones?
Is the input high-Z and work with electric guitars and such?
