native capture sample rates

Hi.

We just received your sound-card at our Farm Radio Hangar in Tanzania and started playing with it right away.

We managed to capture stereo input at 44100 and 48000 Hz, but what we really need is 8000 Hz mono. Is your ADC natively capable of producing this signal?

Glad to hear we made it to Tanzania !

You can record at 8000 Hz, however you should use the plughw device :
arecord -D plughw:0,0
or possibly just :
arecord -D plughw

The plughw device will downsample the audio for you.
