Card stopped working after 1 day [Solved]

Got the card working fairly quickly, at first it was great, played and recorded audio perfect. I am on my second day of using it and it is no longer playing audio, when I do a speaker test i get:

speaker-test 1.0.28

Playback device is default
Stream parameters are 48000Hz, S16_LE, 1 channels
Sine wave rate is 600.0000Hz
Playback open error: -16,Device or resource busy

Is there some way I can test my card or get it back running?

EDIT [Conclusion / Solved]: Somehow the settings got changed in ALSA mixer, by typing alsamixer in command prompt and making sure hifi audio output is set to on it started working again. It may be because the Pi was shutdown incorrectly by pulling the power cord, I have learned that is not good to do (it also can cause sd card corruption).

First thing can we please check that your card is still recognised at boot time ? What does the following command output ?

Can you also please confirm that the pin connectors are still covered by the plastic protector - stopping them from making bad contacts with one another or other items around the pi.

The black plastic is covering pins. No sound. When I look in top right of OS and right click the speaker icon it does show the audioinjector

Hey Matt,

I just went into Alsamixer and saw that output mixer HIFI was off, when I turned it on, audio is now playing again. I never turned if off which is weird, but it may be working again, I will test it with my audio application and let you know if it record too
