I too am having the same issue. I installed the card using the deb file, $ aplay -l returns

Code: Select all

$ aplay -l
**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 0: audioinjectorpi [audioinjector-pi-soundcard], device 0: AudioInjector audio wm8731-hifi-0 []
  Subdevices: 1/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
but whenever I attempt to play audio using

Code: Select all

aplay -Dplug:dmix audiofile
or omxplayer, I can't get any audio to come out of the card, only out of the HDMI port and the headphone jack.

When you say headphone socket ... which headphone are you talking about ? The Pi's or the Audio Injector's ?

Can you please post a screenshot of your alsamixer ?

thanks

Hi, I have set up everything according to the specifications above.

When I do an arecord test I get pcm_read:2031: read error: Input/output error

How do I correct this?

hi there,
Can you please show me the output of the following command :

Code: Select all

arecord -l
That will list your available devices.
Can you also please send in the command you are using to get that error ?

thanks

Hello,

I just received my audio injector. Ive used the automated setup. I want to use the audio injector with pure data so that was the first program i tested. I tried the "test audio function" and i heared the test tone once. After that i loaded a patch i want to use but no sound. after i loaded the patch the audio test didnt work anymore.I tried a lot of things but couldnt make it work again. I reverted back to a raspbian image i made just before installing the injector card and did the setup again. But no sound. Ive attached some images that hopefully can help troubleshooting.

No sound from Rca
Pots are fuly clockwise
no sound from headphone jack
Checked the output HIFI
Boot config txt is ok

When i turn up the volume to the max on my amplifier, i can hear a soft clicking sound when i check and uncheck the output HIFI option. (hopefully that is a clue that there is nothing wrong on the hardware side)

Thanks in advance

regards

Maurits

Looks like you are set up correctly.
When you try to play audio using aplay, no sound ?
If not then you need a replacement.

Can anyone guide me on how to make this card work with Jack? I am trying to make it work with synth applications. I have tried with fresh installs of both Raspbian and Ubuntu Mate, but the result is the same. It works OK with a cheap Chinese USB sound card. But as soon as I change the hardware to Audio Injector it stops working. I have googled around to find solutions, but I haven't found it yet. I get a number of error messages, like "cannot allocate memory", and the Jack server won't start. I have played around with different configurations in Jack.

The card will play with Alsa, and it will play sound from for example web-sites. So I suppose that it is installed correctly. But there is a noise, a loud hum. I used the setup script.
