Playback options with SoX and Dmix Plugin

Hey Everyone,

Anyone know how to route audio through the dmix plugin with SoX?

I am using a flac encode, and would prefer not converting the file to (.wav).

You should be able to change the sox settings using environment variables.

In your case, you will want to set dmix like so :

export AUDIODEV=dmix

You may even be able to get away with not setting the environment variable and calling locally like this :

AUDIODEV=dmix sox ....
