just to let you guys know that I did short R6 and R7 and this indeed made the inputlevel much stronger.
I found it almost impossible to remove the resistors as they are to small. I shorted it by soldering a short piece of cable on the back of the print.

Thanks! Could you put up a picture of which points you patched on the PCB ? I agree it must be easier than shorting R6/R7 directly.

Is there a schematic somewhere which shows R6 and R7? If they form a voltage divider, it seems odd that both need to be shorted, typically the series resistor gets shorted and the other one needs to be opened. Unless they are both in series with the input signal.

They are for left and right respectively, that's why both need to be shorted.
