Zero card microphone installation

Zero card microphone installation
Just got my Zero cards the other day and starting to look at assembly and installation process. First off, it appears that the supplied electret microphone will not sit flat on the main board - it goes over C15 and C12, as well as blocking the input connector, preventing concurrent installation of both the microphone and the connector. Is all of this as intended, or is the supplied microphone just too large?
Re: Zero card microphone installation
Hi there,
The electret microphone has long legs. My suggestion is to position the line connector first and solder it in place, then position the electret microphone and solder that into place. If you want it flat on the board, then use the microphone legs to position the microphone as required before soldering.
