So I just got the device and set it up with the pi, but I am having trouble using it in a project that actually calls for a Cirrus Logic card that's no longer available.
https://github.com/szymonkaliski/LoopPI2
The looper's setup scripts attempt to change controls on the Cirrus Logic card, but it doesn't work because it's all named differently with the audioinjector. For instance, in "LoopPi2/wolfson-output-lineout.sh" there's lines like this:
amixer $1 -Dhw:sndrpiwsp cset name='HPOUT2L Input 1' AIF1RX1
which I can change to:
amixer $1 -Dhw:audioinjectorpi cset name='HPOUT2L Input 1' AIF1RX1
..And now alsa knows which soundcard I'm talking about, but I'm having trouble finding the equivalent(s) of "HPOUT2L Input 1", and "AIF1RX1" and other things in the setup shell scripts. I'm sure there is a lot about this I don't really understand, maybe all soundcards don't have analogous I/O controls.
I'm pretty good at using both Linux and actual audio mixers, but holy crap this alsamixer stuff has got me confused. Do you have any input?

Re: Loop pedal
Okay, I figured it out. It came down to my unfamiliarity with alsa.
I am getting sound and able to sample it in Chuck, now I just have to program the loop pedal. Woohoo!

Questions:
1. Are you plugging the audio injector to a high impedance guitar?
2. How does the sound come out?
2. Are you using a preamp?
I'm a little new to this and trying to build an audio stack for my electric violin.
