Hi there,
I submitted a post yesterday but haven't seen it come up on the forums yet. Not sure if there was an issue while I was submitting it.
Anyway, I am struggling to route the audio from the RCA Line-In on the soundcard to a bluetooth sink I have. My existing project is on a headless Pi3 and plays MP3's via VLC to the bluetooth headset.I now want to stream my MP3 players audio to the BT headphones in realtime
I have tried pulseaudio's loopback module but cannot hear anything come through my headphones. Any help?
Hopefully if this post shows up I can elaborate further with what I have tried so far!
Thanks

Re: Pulseaudio ALSA Loopback Issues
Pulseaudio Alsa issues are common now a days. You have not mentioned whether the record on the loopback device work or not ? When I had this issue Firstly, I created/modified /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-aloop.conf to have only one card with only one substream. After modyfing It worked well for me. Check your path by using following command $ cat /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-aloop.conf
options snd-aloop index=2 pcm_substreams=1 id=Loopback
options snd-aloop index=2 pcm_substreams=1 id=Loopback
Re: Pulseaudio ALSA Loopback Issues
ScottJones, you hero that worked!
I then used pulseaudio's loopback module to route the audio to the headphones - all worked!
However, the only issue I'm facing now is a really noisy/hissy input. Not really sure what's causing it and have made sure the inputs are cleanly grounded with a good power supply to the Pi.
Interestingly I have to set BOTH the Line In and Mic to Capture on AlsaMixer to hear sound. Not sure why I have to do that when only Line-In needs to be captured??
Thank you for your time
