Codec pin solder short

Post by BernieW » Fri Feb 24, 2017 12:40 am

I've just received 2-off sound cards and both appear to have a solder short between pins 21 and 22. Am I o.k. to use these boards?

Yes you are safe to use those boards.
Those pins are both connected to GND. They are connected together directly at the point of contact with the PCB, for that reason during manufacture we often find residual solder creeps up the legs and you can often visually see the connection on the legs.

Hope you enjoy using the Audio Injector sound card !
