IN and OUT

I am using the AudioInjector for streaming radio. The sound card installed and worked great from the start, i.e. before I set up the stream using Darkice client to stream to an Icecast server. The stream out to the server works fine when I send audio into the IN puts from the mixer, and I can monitor via the OUT puts. The problem is I cannot play anything on the RPi and have it stream out via Darkice. I have tried aplay, VLC, Audacity... although the audio is great monitored through the OUT put, it is not captured by the Darkice client to go out the stream.

I hope you can point me on how to get audio generated by the RPi to get out... even though I suspect you will say it is a client issue.

Hi can share your configuration? don't has Buffer underun?

Related to listen locally need to send to loopback interface and capture from them, this way you will can read from 2 diferent programs the same ouput...

Is the problem in having two applications open the pcm device at the same time ?

Another way to do it is to use the plug:dmix device. dmix will mix many audio streams into the one output over PCM.
