Unable to get sound using official RPi RT-Kernel

Hello. I installed the official 4.14.74-rt44-v7+ Realtime Kernel on my Rpi3. Everything appears to be loading correctly, the driver shows up in lsmod, but I am getting no sound, and after a few minutes, Fluidsynth reports an audio I/O error.
