Recording and Playing audio at the same time.

I can play music and record spoken audio, but my goal is to record spoken audio while music is playing at the same time. The basic function is working but the recorded music coming from the speakers is very low. Is there some sort of AEC running? Or mixer setting? Is there a way to record what is playing at the same level of what is spoken? The level of audio from the speakers needs to be captured by the mic.
