PIP - Plug-In-Power supply

Post by nickgalea17 » Thu Dec 26, 2019 5:46 pm

Hi, I am new to Raspberry PI and new to sound recording. I am looking into using Raspberry Pi to record the sound of migrating birds. Basically I need to record sounds using raspberry pi and if possible stream the sound to a cloud service which will process the audio. Since birds may be migrating at different heights and distances I was looking at parabolic microphones such as this https://www.dodotronic.com/product/hi-s ... ved_item=1. The product specifies that a PIP plug in power supply is required. Basically Dodotronic mics use plug-in-power via the 3.5mm jack so I need a sound card that can supply the necessary power and has a 3.5mm socket. Does the AudioInjector SoundCards come with this functionality please?
