Use the potentiometers

Post by Jesper.N » Tue Apr 04, 2017 10:18 pm

I started a project with your hardware where i want to dynamicaly change the gain, can i in some way use the potetiometers that is already built in to set a value in say C code? I would like to save the value of the potetiometers (in some representation) to a variable and then use that in my code.

Thanks

Hi there,

The potentiometers are manual controls. You can control the mixer levels in software using the "amixer" commands.
Check the forum for more information on controlling the RCA levels, such as this post.

thanks

I did not want to control the output volume or use the software tools. The idea is to be able to dynamicly change a variable in c, that represents the state in the potetiometer. This should be able to be done on any potetiometer but i would have to connect it to a DAC and send the value in that way. Since there is already two potetiometers and a DAC built in, i figured you could use that. Is there any way to read the state of the potetiometers since i dont realy want a volume controll and more a changeable variable in my code that can be set by a physical interaction.

Hope this can be done,
Thanks
Jesper

I understand. Unfortunately I can't see a way to read the state of the potentiometers.

thanks
