The most important feature for me is good audio quality. Sample frequency >= 96 kHz, 24 bit and THD+N -80 dB or better. And access to the unused GPIO pins. All the rest like (pre)amps, potentiometers, sockets and microphones can be added easily by the user, if necessary.
