Kodi 17 Combatability

Hey guys...been reading through the forum and can't seem to find exactly what I am looking for...I am in need of some guidance from you gurus. I am wanting to run a Pi 3 with Kodi 17, running the carpc skin for the media center in my car. I am wanting to use several inputs for audio including a usb source, 3.5mm source, bluetooth, and an am/fm source. I want to use the EQ and crossover "tuning" capabilities of the Octo to tune my speakers in the car to avoid having to run a minidsp or similar. I intend to run the outputs of the Octo into a 5 channel amplifier to run a pair of mids, a pair of highs, and a subwoofer. Has anyone tried using the RCA inputs on the Octo to input an audio source into Kodi? I was thinking of using a female 3.5mm to RCA to input into the Octo, then into Kodi. Also is it possible to use Kodi to control volume of the Octo outputs? Thank you for any input you may have to offer.
