Generate infinite empty file

Post by Peter DU » Tue Jan 30, 2018 1:03 pm

HI flatmax,

Thank you for your product. I am using octo for some sound recording and processing. However, while I am running the following command:

arecord -c 6 --max-file-time=10 -d 30 -f S32_LE -r 48000 -t wav Desktop/test/test4.wav

which is for recording 6 channels sound file and interrupt at 30 seconds, it gnerate infinite empty files after 30 seconds until I interrupt it manually by typing ctrl-c. Could you help me to solve this question? Thank you

Best,

Peter

Hi there,

Can you try with -c 8 ?
Also try to record something using audacity with 8 channels ... does anything happen for you ?
Is the input RCA block plugged into the input RCA pcb header ?

thanks
Matt
