Sample rate capability and design
We are in the final design phase for the sample rates of this sound card.
Because of the second oscillator on the board, we are able to target a lot of sample rates, more then necessary !
Currently we are targeting the following sample rates in Hz :
96000 48000 32000 24000 16000 8000
88200 44100 29400 22050 14700 7350

Re: Sample rate capability and design
and what is the bitrate of the input ADC converters?
Re: Sample rate capability and design
Do you mean bit rate or bits per word ?
If you mean bits per word, the cs42448 codec is capable of 24 bits per word.

Re: Sample rate capability and design
Just confirming that we are now supporting the following sample rates in Hz :
96000 48000 32000 24000 16000 8000
88200 44100 22050
Unfortunately the cs42448 chip driver is not setup at the moment to support these non-standard rates (in Hz) :
29400 14700 7350

what's the minimum period size (frame count) that it'll be capable of?

Sample rate capability and design
I have three channels enabled.
I take it that the "Sample Rate" is the sample rate for the whole setup and that this is divided across the number of channels enabled?

Re: Sample rate capability and design
It should be capable of around 1.5 ms latency or less. IT is likely that that is a block of 72 samples which are double buffered.unipiguy wrote:Matt

Re: Sample rate capability and design
The sample rate is the same for all channels. For example, a 96 kHz sample rate means all input and output channels are sampled at 96 kHz.Evanepirels wrote:I have three channels enabled.

Re: Sample rate capability and design
Hello,
Just wondered if there would be any possibility of pushing the board to run the inputs at the 192 kHz max of the cs42448?
Cheers,
Alan
