May I suggest a 6 channel input/output device that supports sync encoding across all 6 channels for 5.1 surround sound.

It would also be nice to be able to daisy chain multiple audio injectors.

OK - do you mean some way to entrain master clocks - and synchronise the start of play/rec ?

Hey Matt,

Thanks for the answering back about this.

I am not 100% as I am new to Sound Hardware Interfaces.

My overall goal is to capture a 5.1 Surround sound audio feed to stream over the web. Hopefully via OPUS.

Currently, I have tested this with the Stereo Injector, and everything works just fine. However, it can't capture multiple (2>) channels.
I have also tested this with the Octave, and I run into a problem where the stereo encoders are not in sync, and I have to create 3 separate stereo files which I have to sync post production.

It would be nice to simply plug in my 6 feeds and select an algorithm to record, and then stream.

Hopefully, that answers your question.

As I am thinking about all of this. The 8-channel Audio Injector up to 192 KHz sampling would be nice. Curious, what would be your plans on the audio response bandwidth?

My pick would be an upgrade of the Zero Soundcard to 4-channel input.

The Octo which is currently available could be what you are after ?

A small format multichannel card ?
Would you accept 8 out, 6 in ?

A small format, inexpensive, multichannel card :)
I'm not sure what your retail price on the Zero will be, but based on the Kickstarter rewards I'm guessing it will be a fair bit less than the Octo. I'll probably pre-order a Zero as soon as they're available and make do with two channels, but ideally I'd like an extra two inputs if it could be done without vastly increasing the price. 8 out, 6 in would be fine, for the right price!
