Both Zero sound card and DAC work together ?

Dear sir,
I would like to have zero sound card installed and work together with DAC (Digital to Analog Converter).
- To be set the zero sound card for only line in function.
- To be set DAC for sound out to speaker/headphone.
like below configuration
Zero sound card ----> Raspberry PI3 ----> DAC ----> Headphone

May it possible?

Should be fine if you use a USB DAC.
A DAC HAT like HifiBerry etc. will not work.

Yep - the limitation is that there is only I2S bus on the Pi ... as the AI is using it !
