What GPIO pins does the audio injector use in interfacing with the codec? I could have sworn I saw this information posted at some point but cannot seem to find it now.
I was trying to use GNU Screen to connect to the Pi from my laptop and it was not working. I use this all the time on other Pi's and it works great so I am thinking the problem might be that the AudioInjector uses the txd and rxd pins, meaning that I can no longer use them for serial communication.
Please let me know.

I think it does. According to the diagram you posted TXD0 and RXDO are being used for the BITCLOCK. Unless I am reading something incorrectly?

I think the UART pins are free, bitclock is on GPIO18.
