I have very basic questions, as I can't seem to find documentation about specs of the Zero raspberry pi soundcard.
- How many input channels are there?
- What is the sampling rate of the input channel(s)?
- What is the bitrate?
- What are the noise floor and dynamic range of the input?
- Can I record continuously from Python and process the input in realtime (let's say do a FFT)?
Please, disregard python bottlenecks, I'm just interested in the capabilities of the soundcard before I buy one

The sampling rate is determined by the alsarecord command.
Same for the bitrate.
Not sure but I think it is specified on the audioinjector.net description.
Not sure about your python concerns but most of what you want to do is accomplished easily in the GUI Audacity which can monitor the arecord process
